Creating Coziness with Farmhouse Pottery

Farmhouse Pottery Laurel Pie Dish with Maple Pumpkin Pie

This time of year, we're likely to find ourselves spending most of our time indoors - cooking, baking, and preparing for the holidays. The food you feed your family is an expression of love (and if you fancy yourself a home chef, works of art!).

How are we creating coziness this season? We here at Robin Gannon Interiors find ourselves constantly reaching for the unique handmade products from Farmhouse Pottery. Made locally in Woodstock, Vermont by master artisans, their wares are as pretty as they are practical.

We're not the only ones loving their creations... Oprah - yes, that Oprah! - selected Farmhouse Pottery's beehive crock (which we just so happen to carry!) as one of her Oprah's Favorite Things.

Simple, classic, useful

Behind the scenes at Farmhouse Pottery

Farmhouse Pottery founders James and Zoe Zilian take "Made in the USA" very seriously - even the clay used in their creations is mined in the US. Each piece is made one at a time, and James estimates that each piece is touched 25 times from start to finish.

"We believe the farmers, craftsmen, and makers are the core of our communities, and that farm-to-table isn't a foodie trend, but rather the rediscovery of a more sustainable lifestyle and value system."

- James & Zoe Zilian

Heating things up

Is there anything better than the smell of a pie baking in the oven? We certainly don't think so, and that's why we love the Laurel Pie Dish. It's the ideal vessel to create and serve pies or quiches (which smell fantastic too, now that we think about it!).

The best part? Cleaning up is a snap, as it's dishwasher-safe.

We also carry all of the below goodies to help you create your masterpiece:

One for you, one for me

'Tis the season for holiday and hostess gifts, and we have the perfect idea for the chef on your list. The Farmhouse Pottery Cheese Stone is ideal for baking brie, popping a pizza in the oven, or even using cold out of the freezer (chocolate-covered strawberries, anyone?).

We suggest pairing it with the Hand-Carved Spreader - it's made from Moroccan lemonwood, which is incredibly strong and durable. (It's often used to make archery bows and fishing rods!)

This is definitely a gift you're going to want to give to yourself, too! We have several in stock waiting for you to take home.

Setting the scene

Last but definitely not least, Farmhouse Pottery has some beautiful ways to make your table look as appetizing as the food you serve. Elevate your tablescape with handmade serving vessels, linen napkins, candles, and holiday decorations - here's a sampling of what we carry!
